Each year, the Berkeley PL offers a Summer Reading Program over the summer months in order to encourage our neighbors of all ages to find and enjoy great books, have informative and fun events to attend, and meet new people in the community and develop new friendships. New this year, the program is transforming into Summer Adventures. Don't worry- there will still be reading goals for all ages for those that want to read. But everyone can also hunt for secret codes in our community throughout the summer; at library programs, at Village events, or just out in our community! Each code found successfully and recorded is one more entry into our special Adventure Grand Prize drawings at the end of the summer.

Everyone is welcome to participate in our Summer Reading Program, from birth through senior citizens. In addition to a special summer schedule of programming, we will also host an eight-week reading contest starting Monday, June 1st. There is no cost to participate. We have great grand prizes for kids, and participation prizes for teens and adults.

Please note: only participants that reside in Berkeley, Illinois are eligible for grand prize drawings.
