Each year, the Berkeley PL offers a Summer Reading Program over the summer months in order to encourage our neighbors of all ages to find and enjoy great books, have informative and fun events to attend, and meet new people in the community and develop new friendships. Our theme for 2025 is 'Level Up at Your Library' which emphasizes gaming, exploration, and adventure.

Everyone is welcome to participate in our Summer Reading Program, from birth through senior citizens. In addition to a special summer schedule of programming, we will also host an eight-week reading contest starting Monday, June 16th. There is no cost to participate. We have great grand prizes for kids, and participation prizes for teens and adults.

Please note: only participants that reside in Berkeley, Illinois are eligible for grand prize drawings.
