Citizenship Resources

If you are getting ready to navigate the citizenship and naturalization process, the Berkeley Public Library is here to help. In addition to sitting down with the Library's intern at the Community Desk, you may find the following links helpful in your journey.

U.S. Office of Immigration Services is a primary resource and allows users to find local offices, submit forms online, and find answers to a wide range of questions surrounding immigration, green cards, work permits, and more.

CitizenshipWorks is a nonprofit created by the Immigration Advocates Network and Immigrant Legal Resource Center; offers a free online service to match applicants with the correct forms and provide legal help.

Illinois Legal Aid Online offers articles specific to many of the most common topics related to citizenship and immigration.
